Class Descriptions

All certifications are valid for two years.

Healthcare Provider (BLS): This 3½ hour course includes adult/child CPR and AED, infant CPR, two person CPR, bag-mask rescue breathing, and first aid for choking. This class is the right choice for professionals working in a health care setting such as nurses, chiropractors, dental assistants, etc.
$50 per person.

Heartsaver CPR/AED: This 2 hour class includes adult/child CPR and AED, infant CPR, and first aid for choking. This is the right choice for fitness trainers, coaches, teachers, and any non-health care professional seeking a certification card.
$40 per person.

Heartsaver First Aid: In this 2½ hour course, lay responders will learn how to manage illness and injury while waiting for EMS to arrive. Topics include general principles of first aid, medical emergencies, injury emergencies, and environmental emergencies.
$40 per person.

Heartsaver First Aid and CPR/AED: Learn it all in one day! In 5 hours you will be trained to respond to first aid and CPR/AED emergencies.
$70 per person.

Pediatric First Aid and CPR/AED: This 5 hour course is appropriate for teachers, camp counselors and anyone with children in their lives. Includes adult/child CPR and AED, infant CPR, injury prevention and first aid for children of all ages. Note: California state childcare licensing laws require 8 hours of training. This class can be modified to meet these requirements.
$70 per person.

CPR at Home: New parent and can't get out to a class? No problem, we'll come to you. In just 1-2 hours you can learn CPR as well as how to prevent many childhood accidents and injuries. Invite family and friends! Several choices for course content.
$30-$60 per person depending on content selected. Four person minimum.

Friends and Family Pediatric First Aid: This is a highly informative 60 minute presentation that covers childhood accident and injury prevention, first aid for choking, and first aid for common childhood illnesses and injuries. This non certification course is ideal for parent groups, churches, and community based organizations. No limit to class size. Often presented free of charge.

Citizen CPR: This is a 30 minute non-certification class, teaching the "hands only" method of CPR for adult victims of sudden cardiac arrest. This new "low barrier" technique (no breaths) has been proven to increase victim chance of survival two to three fold. Hands-on practice on manikins is included to teach the proper compression method. Class size of 10-30. Often presented free of charge.
