What is CPR? CPR
stands for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
CPR uses your breath and your hands to provide oxygen rich blood to the brain
and heart of a victim in cardiac arrest, until defibrillation and more advanced
care can be given. Effective bystander
CPR plus the prompt use of an AED, can double a victim's chance of survival for
witnessed cardiac arrest. CPR is easy to learn. Take
an AHA CPR class every 2 years and routinely review the procedure to ensure that
you'll be ready in an emergency. |
